John Furth Peachy, Architect, specializing in NYC loft building conversions and work with City agencies including the Landmarks Commission and Loft Board, seeks graduate architect with 1 to 5 years work experience.

Candidate will work, both independently and with others as Project Manager in a busy and friendly six person open office environment. Project work includes drafting, preparation of applications, filing with City agencies and relationship building with clients, contractors, agency personnel and other professionals.

Many of our projects focus on legalizing commercial properties for residential or mixed use. Of these, many are in landmarked districts and their historic elements must be maintained and respected as projects progress. We work very closely with our clients to successfully obtain residential certificates of occupancy while adhering to the strict New York City Building Code.

Other practice areas include loft renovations and maritime eating and drinking establishments.

Candidate should possess the following:

BArch or MArch degree from an Architectural school.

1 - 5 years experience in residential and/or commercial architecture.

Excellent verbal, writing and organizational skills.

Technical knowledge and design capability.

Outstanding interpersonal skills.

Excellent AutoCAD , Photoshop, Microsoft Office skills.

Legal U.S. work status.

Salary is commensurate with experience and ranges from $40K - $50K plus excellent benefits.
